| Bill Spann and Friends started
in a record studio in Burbank. It was to be simply a recording project sponsored by songwriter Bill Spann. This first project consisted of three ballads, two blues, R&B stuff thrown in for good measure, and some JAZZ/POP tunes. Without realizing it, the participates didn't know what to call this sound, only that it made them feel good. Brian Kilgore, Percussionist joined the ranks of David Darling on Lead Guitar, Fredo Balesteros on Sax, Steve Samuels on Drums, Randy Landis on Bass Guitar, Gary Nesturuk on keyboards, and Bill Spann with a handle on the Vocals. |
